- Far in the north, among the vast forests of northern Sweden, at the foot of the mountains, among thousands of lakes and in the town of Arjeplog is the Silver Museum.
The Silver Museum tells an exciting story: the tale of a young doctor who arrived in Arjeplog in 1922 and who stayed here for the rest of his life.
Einar Wallquist, the "Lapland Doctor", was fascinated by the people and the nature, which served as subjects for him as an artist and an author. And he collected...
Today his collection and documentation of the life of the Sami and the settlers is the cultural treasure that concerns all of us who live here. The Silver Museum is our common heritage.
